Unfortunately, in true Spurs fashion, another one bites the dust. Two years after being appointed head coach, Ange Postecoglou has been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur.

That was Ange Postecoglou’s closing line at Tottenham Hotspur’s Europa League trophy parade. I can’t help but think that will be his latest statement that people will look into way too much.

It is still surreal to write those words. Tottenham Hotspur ended their 17-year trophy drought by beating Manchester United 1-0 in the 2025 UEFA Europa League final.

Despite our disastrous Premier League season, Tottenham Hotspur are in the 2025 Europa League Final.

If you asked me at the beginning of the season, “Would you take Tottenham having one of their worst seasons in the Premier League if it meant you could end the 17-year trophy drought?”, I probably would’ve said yes in a heartbeat. Well, guess what? That could become a reality.

“Unfortunately for a lot of you, you’re going to have to put up with me for a little bit longer”

Things ended all square at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as Eintracht Frankfurt left London with confidence going into the second leg next week.

From the day he was appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur, Ange Postecoglou was always fighting an uphill battle.

Tottenham Hotspur are through to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League. A much-deserved 3-1 win (3-2 over both legs) over AZ Alkmaar saw Spurs make it past the round of 16 of a major European competition for the first time since our historic Champions League run in 2019.

Tottenham fight back from being two goals down to rescue a point. Yes, you read that right, Tottenham still have a bit of fight in them.

As results go, that wasn’t too bad. Obviously, a 14th loss of the season is mental, especially with there being 11 more games of the Premier League season left.

Tottenham Hotspur have won their third straight game in the Premier League beating Ipswich Town away 4-1.

That wasn’t the score but it does mean Tottenham Hotspur have won all three times they have played Manchester United this season. It’s actually the first time Tottenham have beaten United home and away since the 90s.

Two times in the space of a week. That’s how long it took for Tottenham’s trophy hopes to go from “Maybe we can” to “Call the season off”.

Much to Jamie Carragher’s delight Tottenham were able to grind out a result against Brentford, winning 2-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium in West London yesterday afternoon.
