Roberto De Zerbi is Tottenham Hotspur’s 3rd manager this season. Yep, you read that right. Spurs have their third manager this season. Roberto De Zerbi is seen as a long-term appointment by Tottenham Hotspur, but also the man who is tasked with keeping us from being relegated.

Following a 3-0 defeat to relegation rivals Nottingham Forest. Tottenham Hotspur sit 17th in the Premier League, a point above West Ham United. The defeat wasn’t only 3 points lost, it signalled the harsh reality that we are getting closer and closer to being relegated. With 7 games left, it’s hard to tell where our first Premier League win of 2026 comes from.

The old saying goes, it’s the hope that kills you, which is true, to an extent. But I think in Tottenham Hotspur’s case, it’s the hype that kills you.

I wish I could say things were looking up for Tottenham Hotspur in 2026, but it turns out they’re worse than we expected. We currently sit 14th, 9 points from relegation, and our fanbase is completely against our manager, Thomas Frank.

At last, the show must go on. When Ange was sacked, his successor would be an important decision for the board, and Thomas Frank, I think, is the perfect manager to succeed the Australian.

If you asked me at the beginning of the season, “Would you take Tottenham having one of their worst seasons in the Premier League if it meant you could end the 17-year trophy drought?”, I probably would’ve said yes in a heartbeat. Well, guess what? That could become a reality.
