A win is a win
To be honest that was an utterly embarrassing display of football. 90 minutes of that against a non-league side is ridiculous, I can’t imagine the type of fallout we would’ve seen if we had lost that game. However, we are Tottenham Hotspur and we found a way through. Unfortunately, it meant bringing on our best players to get us the win but whatever; the game is done; we won 3-0 and the media can go find other things to spout about our club so they can get their rocks off.
I’m not going to talk any more about the Tamworth game because we’re through to the next round, where we play Aston Villa away, and that game doesn’t need to be dissected because let’s be honest it was just a terrible game from us. Anyways! We look forward to the game tomorrow night, the North London Derby, so let’s talk about it.
Arsenal form a boost for Spurs
I know it’s only been two weeks but so far Arsenal have won and drawn one game each and lost two games, most recently a loss against Manchester United in the FA Cup. Look we know Arsenal are going to do all they can to hold Tottenham at bay and then either get us on the break or worse with a set-piece. Arsenal being without Saka is going to benefit us tomorrow, as he is their best player, but that doesn’t mean he is their only threat. Arsenal are very solid at the back and we’re going to need the best of Kulusevski and Bergvall (if they both start) to break them down but if there’s ever a time to get one over the scum it is now, we’re coming off the back of two wins and we need to start picking up more points in the Premier League.
Big test for Antonín Kinský
I think I speak for the majority of Spurs fans when I say Antonín sold us on his abilities in his debut against Liverpool, playing with such confidence in a semi-final against the best team in the league makes you stand out. That being said, Arsenal Away is a different kettle of fish, Arsenal are the best when it comes to offensive set-pieces. So Kinský will have to work for it tomorrow night, if he can walk away from the Emirates with a clean sheet in hand we’re looking at an exceptional talent in between the sticks. We know what’s on the line and it’s not just bragging rights over our rivals, it is pressure.
Ange vs Arteta
It’s no secret Arteta is a top coach, as much as I hate to admit it, he has done a decent job at Arsenal. Ange Postecoglou has been put through the wringer this season, he’s been without many important players for a large chunk of the season, which has resulted in a string of losses. People won’t admit it but injuries really have affected our team but we’ve still managed to get some results right and this has been down to tactical changes made. I think if Ange is going to get the best of Arteta and Arsenal he is going to have to pull out a masterclass because we haven’t won at the Emirates in six years and right now we need points.
